Salon Gift Certificates

Just in time for Christmas, we have launched a much requested function that many of you have been asking for around the world, whether it is for Christmas, Eid, Chinese New Year or Diwali and special events like birthdays or mothers day.

Gift certificates or gift vouchers, as they are also widely called, are a great way to get your clients to buy a presents for their friends and relatives.

How Do Gift Certificates work?

We have made it really easy to sell certificates in your salon, spa or barber shop

  • Gift certificates can be bought with a predefined expiry
  • You are able to buy certificates without the the need to make an appointment (Please be aware of your local laws as some countries / states do not allow vouchers to have an expiry date)
  • A certificate can be redeemed by anyone with the voucher code
  • Certificates do not show as a sale until they are redeemed – important for accounting purposes, as vouchers should be shown as a business liability
  • Clients are able to part pay with gift certificates

New Check Out Process

We have made a major upgrade to your checkout process, making it easier and simpler.

Your new design makes it look like a retail POS system through an more intuitive design.

We have now added the function to allow you to click on the staff members name and this will then take you to their single or weekly column.

  • Able to redeem gift certificate / voucher
  • Add staff tips
  • Add specific discount to service or product
  • Add specific payment types for your venue
  • Email receipt to your client or insurance company

Purchase Products Without Need For Appointment

To improve your user experience of Belliata and to allow you to sell more retail products to those clients who are passing by, we have enabled you to be able to make a retail product or gift certificate purchase without the need for an appoitment to be made.

How To Make A ‘Quick Purchase’

  1. Click on the ‘x’ at the bottom right of your schedule page
  2. Click on either ‘Add Product’ or ‘Add Gift Certificate’
  3. Then proceed through usual checkout process

Bug Fixes

We work hard to ensure as always that your salon software is 100% bug free and as one of our pillars is to be transparent, we have our bugs which we have fixed in the past month.

If you any any issue or any problem, tell us..no matter what it might be! You are able use the live chat in the bottom left of your salon schedule to tell us.

Client Name Not Being Associated With Satisfaction Survey Response – Fixed

There has been issues where clients names where not being show up in the client satisfaction responses for the Net Promoter Score® survey.

Booking Alerts Not Showing – Fixed

We had feedback that in some browsers / devices that the booking alerts at the top right of your schedule were not showing.

Not Carrying New Invoice Number – Fixed

As part of last months release we add sequential invoice numbers at venue level and we found that they were not displaying in the sales section of your software.

Ability To Create Packages

We have been designing the workflow for you to be able to create packages, which can include multiple service providers and multiple products.

This important for people who are running Spa’s where a number of services providers can deal with one client and salons where you have a colorist and a stylist delivering a ‘packaged service’ for a client.

Improved Staff Roster Management

Our clients with larger salons and spas have asked for a more staff rota management.

As always, we are happy to improve salon scheduling software for you!

Global SMS Appointment Reminders

We are currently testing our SMS appointment reminders in all of the markets we operate and this will enable all of our clients to be able to send SMS appointment reminders to clients a number of hours (24 hours default) prior to their appointment.

Back to Back Bookings

We are working on ensuring that if clients book on the same day that their appointments are booked back to back. This is important for services such as color and cut or hair straightening and cut.

Accept Online Payments

We are still working with our partners at Stripe & Paypal to enable your salon, spa or barber shop to accept deposit of full payments during checkout or online booking. This is part of our premium plan only and not for those on the free plan.

We are currently also working on local providers (PayU & SumUp) for our European & Indian clients also.
