Christmas is a fun and glitzy time of year, and for salons everywhere it is also a perfect opportunity to carry out some serious salon Christmas promotions for loyal customers and to attract new ones. There are multiple opportunities to jazz up your salon to look it’s sparkling best whilst making customers feel relaxed and special. 

Here are some suggestions for salons based around the 12 days of Christmas hair salon dieas, and you can also use this as a way of promoting events, special offers and treats in your salon. 

Some of the suggestions cost nothing or a moderate outlay, and each one can be used to boost interest in your salon, keep established clients appreciating your business and attract new customers. 

So have a great Christmas, get creative and move your business up another notch with these cool ideas or your own variation on them:

 

1. Mine Pies and Prosseco

Most customers love to get in a Christmas mood with this festive treat and will appreciate that extra bit of customer service. Make sure to have some non-alcoholic drinks for children and those who are driving. 

2. Salon Lucky Dip

As well as ensuring you have a great tree and decorations, why not have a special lucky dip under the tree for each customer with nicely wrapped prizes. Make sure you have different dips with suitable prizes for men and women. 

3. Celebrate the twelve days of Christmas

If you want to get really imaginative, try having a special promotion for each of the 12 days of Christmas in your salon. This is also an incentive for staff to be creative, work as a team and come up with some great ideas to promote your business. 

4. Design an e-card for Christmas

Create an e-card that’s personalised – perhaps with a picture of the whole salon team in Christmas jumpers! Send the card to all customers with an appreciative message thanking them for their valued custom throughout the year. 

5. Hold a Christmas competition

In the run up to Christmas and New Year, hold a competition as a promotional event for your salon for one or two lucky winners to have a free hairstyle over the holiday period so that they can look their best. You could also hold a separate colouring competition for children!

You could offer a donation to a charity of your choice for every booking made in December, and make sure this is widely promoted on Facebook and your website. 

11. Therapeutic treatments

Offer frazzled customers the chance of having a hand or head massage as an antidote to some of the many stresses of Christmas to help them relax and chill out – this will be appreciated and remembered by your clients. 

Have some special offers such as two for the price of one sales or other bargains, as customers will be tempted to splash out for themselves or as gifts and stocking fillers.
